Rip Slyme is a Japanese hip hop group.Their sound derives its influences from old school hip hop and other hip hop such as The Pharcyde, De La Soul, Public Enemy, Jurassic 5, the Beastie Boys, DJ Premier, Leaders of the New School.They became ever more successful and signed to Warner Music Group in 2000. By then they had released several indie singles including their EP ‘Underline No. 5’ and ‘Mata Au Hi Made’ which had received the help of Fantastic Plastic Machine. ‘Mata Au Hi Made’ was released on Warner Music Group’s Indies label. Their first major single was ‘Stepper’s Delight’ released 22 March 2001. The title was a play on The Sugarhill Gang’s ‘Rapper’s Delight’.

“Dragon Ash is a Japanese rap rock group founded in 1996.
They were one of the first groups to popularize hip hop in Japan. They brought a western flavor to Japanese music and helped to turn rap music mainstream,with a mixture of reggae, hip hop, metal, punk, drum ‘n’ bass, rhythm ‘n’ blues and Spanish music influences.Kenji has stated in several interviews that the reason Dragon Ash started out as a pseudo-punk band was because, at the time, punk was popular in Japan, and his handlers felt that the hip hop image would not sell. He has also noted that hip hop has always been first in his book, but he did what was necessary to become successful in the industry. Dragon Ash is a member of Mob Squad, which is an affiliation with the bands Source and Endive.”

Miyavi started his second worldwide tour Neo Tokyo Samurai Black 2009/2010, in Moscow, Russia. He held 17 concerts in Europe, of that also visited for the first time Austria, Hungary and Italy. It was immediately continued in South America, with concerts in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Mexico. The United States leg was canceled due to recovering from an illness, and an injury,but Miyavi managed to perform in November at Anime Matsuri, Texas.On December 31, he signed a new contract with EMI Music Japan.”

Jesse, the vocalist from Rize, named the band, the members of which did their own songwriting, arranging, and production. Def Tech had the 3rd best-selling album in Japan in 2005 and performed at Live8 in Tokyo in July of that year. Def Tech started in 2003 and debuted in 2005. “PUSHIM , born　on November 26, 1975 is a Zainichi Korean reggae artist. She is signed to Sony Music Japan’s Ki/oon Records division.

She began performing in the Kansai reggae scene in 1995. In 1998, she contributed back-up vocals for the Refugee Camp’s ‘It’s Too Late’, a Carroll King cover. After being signed to Sony Music Japan, she recorded and released her first single, ‘Brand New Day’ on June 19, 1999 to much critical acclaim. In September 1999, she released her second single ‘Strong Woman’, which also a commercial success. The following spring, her debut album Say Greetings was released, having been recorded in Jamaica the previous year.[1] She performed at Reggae Sumfest in 2003. Her 2006 album Sing A Song… Lighter! featured Luciano on one track.[1] She has regularly visited Jamaica to record, and in 2007 she recorded in Jamaica with musicians including Sly & Robbie”
